How We Work
Engagement, end to end
- 01
Consultation
An initial conversation to understand the matter, the stakes, and whether the firm is the right fit.
- 02
Assessment & strategy
We evaluate the facts, the law, and the likely paths to resolution, then map a strategy aligned with your goals.
- 03
Engagement
Clear terms, a defined scope, and a plan for filing or response. You know what to expect at every stage.
- 04
Litigation
Disciplined advocacy in and out of the courtroom, from motions and discovery through trial and appeal.
- 05
Recovery
We pursue collection and enforcement relentlessly, locating assets wherever they are to maximize recovery.
Frequently Asked
Questions
What types of matters does the firm take on?
We focus on complex commercial litigation, terrorism litigation, intellectual property disputes, creditors' rights, and judgment enforcement. We are selective, taking on matters where our experience can make a decisive difference.
What should I prepare for an initial consultation?
A short written summary of the dispute, the key dates, and any relevant documents such as contracts, judgments, and correspondence. The more context we have, the more useful our first conversation will be.
Do you work on a contingency basis?
Fee arrangements depend on the nature of the matter. For many plaintiff-side and recovery matters we work on contingency or hybrid arrangements; institutional and defense matters are typically billed hourly. We discuss this openly at the outset.
How long does complex litigation take?
It varies widely. Some matters resolve in months; others, particularly those involving foreign sovereigns or cross-border enforcement, span years. We set realistic expectations early and revisit them as the case develops.
How do you approach international asset recovery?
We combine litigation with a network of investigators and counsel across jurisdictions to locate assets, then pursue the most effective enforcement strategy, both domestically and abroad.
Do you accept referrals from other attorneys?
Yes. We regularly co-counsel with and accept referrals from other firms, and we honor referral relationships. Reach out through the contact section to discuss a potential referral.
